back tracking.

so in order to keep up to date with our lives, I am actually going to go backwards so that I can hopefully manage not to skip any highlights :)

Bella has been asking to do a few things lately (over and over): go "tenting" in the woods, play in the snow with her "boat" (which is a sled) and fish. This past weekend we made one of those wishes come true... we took her fishing. It was adorable. Randy had everything we needed already and I picked up a little Disney fishing rod for her this past week. We headed to Sun City- the only free place we know you can still go without a license and use any bate you wish, plus feed the turtles. (Most places these days ban you from feeding fish, ducks and turtles for the sake of the environment.) Randy and I had secretly been planning this for about a week and the day came and the weather got cold on us! We decided to go anyway and it turned out to be perfect. No one else was there and by the time we got too cold to stay outside, Bella was done anyway :)

She caught a fish early in the trip and was just like a little girl, running from it as it flapped around on the dock. She wasn't really interested in catching anymore after that!

Randy was using a fake worm to hopefully catch bigger fish and even though we had explained this, when she saw him bring his line in with a big purple worm on it, she dropped her rod and ran! He told her it was a fake worm so she was under the impression he caught it. The rest of the evening she told us next time she was going to catch a "pretend worm like Daddy."

It was a great time... making memories. Ava was there too to cheer us on.
