two years?

I have had this flickering inside of me, anxious to write and possibly blog again. Today I went looking for this old blog and it is just unbelievable that it has been almost two years since I updated. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I documented Turner's birth story though. I hope this is not the last time I will be able to post, creating a pattern of getting on every couple of years! I am sure I have two years worth of news to share but for now here are a few pictures from this year's birthdays.

Turner turned two in January and we had a circus/carnival theme. I think I always have a lot more fun planning and executing my kids' parties than they do at the actual parties! Maybe not but I really do enjoy it. We also took him to the transportation museum in Spencer to ride the train.

Ava turned six in February and she celebrated at the little spa in Matthews like Bella did a few years ago plus we had a little family get together with pizza and brownie sundaes. Ava was in Kindergarten this year.

Bella decided to have her party at Chuck E. Cheese (read easy for mom!). She turned nine in April and had some of her besties plus all of our family there to help celebrate. As much as I love planning parties I can equally appreciate the lack of pressure that comes from having someone else host it and take care of EVERYTHING.

Porter turned four in May and my has he grown up this year. He is such a boy, always has been, but not more like a dude or something. He just acts cool and has such a personality. We had a Paw Patrol party for him with a majority being family but he had a couple special friends there.
