We got, with a lot of help from family members, bunk beds for Bella for her birthday. We went and picked them up today and are so excited to get this set up one day soon!
Last year I took the girls to see Randy at work at the conference tournament for his golf team. Ava was just a baby still riding in her carrier. This year she was older and not so still! We let the girls practice putting and then took them on a ride in the golf cart around the course to see some of his players.
Oh yes, and then we had to get on the bus! One of Bella's favorite things. (Its the little things in life you know)
We had so much fun being outdoors this past weekend. It was a little cooler than normal but it was nice when sitting in the sun! Which is what we did...
Randy had friends in town and they were doing their annual golf thing so my sister and I got together and took the kids to the Whitewater Center where they were having the Tuck Fest. There was live music and food and a great little place for the kids to climb.
The next day after church we went back! This time we met up with our/Randy's friends. We took a long walk around the water and then gave the girls lunch on a blanket. Later that day they had a duck race which was so cool. They dumped thousands of rubber ducks in the river.
So I truly love celebrating holidays and one of the cool things about holidays in our family is that we get to celebrate SEVERAL times for EVERY holiday. It really helps to prolong them! Otherwise they would be here and gone in a flash. So we typically celebrate at least three times- once (sometimes twice) with Randy's side and then once with my mom and once with my dad's side.
We went to my aunt's the weekend before to have the annual Easter egg hunt and have supper. The following weekend we celebrated with my mom and Grandma. This included s'mores- peep style! and Grandma got the girls their matching Minnie Mouse outfits. The girls enjoyed their first chocolate Easter bunnies from Randy and I. We went to church and then on Sunday Bella and Randy went to the golf club for brunch and an egg hunt plus we went to his parents that night for dinner and more fun with the cousins! GaYa got the girls these adorable pink chairs for times like these and watching Sophie in her soccer games. You can see Ava enjoyed relaxing on them!
The Lord is so good. Thankful to have all of these people to help celebrate the Resurrection!
I just love dressing the girls alike. It is one of the things the Lord gently reminded me of when I first found out I was having another girl but hoping for a boy. Of course, now I would not trade having girls for the world!
Bella turned four last weekend and we had a Cinderella party at the park. It was a lot of fun for everyone. We had a parachute and a pinata which were Bella's favorite parts.
Bella was born on April 14th 2009 to two very proud parents. She is almost seven now! She is still very much in love with her Daddy and gets to spend lots of one-on-one time with him through Y-Guides. She also enjoys golf lessons after school once a week. She is doing well learning Spanish through the SPLASH program at her school where she is in the first grade Spanish Immersion class. She loves to dance and teach her little sister everything she knows!
Ava Hope joined us on the 4th of February 2012. She is quite the character and knows how to make us all laugh. She loves her big sister and misses her when they are apart. Her favorites are Minnie Mouse and Ariel. Everyday she surprises us with her sassy comments and wonderful memory!
Baby number three: Porter Noble came quickly on the 9th of May at 4:44 am. My labor and delivery was all less than an hour! He weighed 8lb 12oz and measured 20in. He is delightful and continues to bring great joy on a daily basis. He is learning and talking more each day and is ALL BOY!
Baby number four joined us on the 18th of January this year. Turner King was 6lbs 12oz, our smallest! He fits into the family perfectly and is very loved by his older sisters and big brother...
As for Randy and I... we met in 2006 at our job. We were southern girl and boy from Buffalo trying to make it work. It didn't take much! We couldn't live without each other and were engaged and married a short eight and eleven months later. The rest is what they call HISTORY and in this case, HER STORY...
